You can do almost anything on a computer, but it would be much easier if certain operations could be executed without navigating through local folders and launching applications. Mizo can fulfill this wish, by providing you with a rich selection of utilities, which can be launched instantly and used for various purposes. Computer maintenance, editing and converting images, uploading files to the cloud or encrypting data are just a few operations which you can perform with this application. The necessary utilities for carrying out these actions are very well organized and you can access them instantly, directly from your desktop.

Mizo is offered free of charge and it is available for Windows XP, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8. It takes about a minute to have it up and running and you don't have to meet any special requirements. The application's hardware requirements are modest, so you can run it on any mid-range computer.

The application gives you access to a huge number of utilities. You can find them on a small panel, which can be displayed through Mizo's system tray icon or by clicking a small arrow, located on the top edge of the screen. The available tools are neatly categorized, based on their purpose. You can use them to manipulate media files, clean up your hard drive, encrypt, hide or shred files, watch online TV, test your Internet connection's speed and much more.

To launch one of the aforementioned tools, all you have to do is click its corresponding icon. You can add individual tools to a favorites list, so you won't have to browse through all icons each time you wish to perform a specific action. It is also possible to search for a specific utility by typing keywords in a search field. Furthermore, Mizo allows you to assign keyboard shortcuts to any tools, so you can launch them instantly, without displaying the main user interface.

Certain tools are native to Mizo, while others are Windows utilities. For example, if you wish to upload files to the cloud, you have to use a Mizo online account and make the necessary preparations on one of the application's interface. The included calculator and the disk cleanup feature are the ones that come preinstalled with your Windows operating system.

Pros

You can perform a wide range of actions. The application provides you with numerous utilities and you can favorite them, search for specific items and assign keyboard shortcuts. Additionally, Mizo is absolutely free, it can be installed fast and it does not use too many resources.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to speak of. Mizo gives you the possibility of performing almost any action as fast and easy as possible, directly on your desktop.
